GriefLantern

Independent publishing project

After-loss support deserves warmth, accuracy, and clear limits.

GriefLantern publishes gentle educational articles, practical-affairs guides, forms, milestones, and resources. The library remains under qualified editorial review and does not replace clinical, crisis, legal, or financial care.

If you need immediate support

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call local emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988 or use 988 Lifeline chat for free, confidential support available 24/7/365.

What GriefLantern is

An independent publishing project working on gentle, practical after-loss information and self-guided reflection tools.

What it is not

GriefLantern is not therapy, medical care, crisis care, a law firm, probate service, financial adviser, or counselor directory authority.

Current availability

Articles, guides, forms, glossary, milestones, resources, and directory pages are published while editorial review continues. Interactive assessments, journals, accounts, and checkout remain unavailable.

Why the review gate matters

Grief is not a diagnosis, a stage sequence, or a uniform timeline. A self-guided prompt cannot assess risk or replace a clinician. Estate, probate, benefits, account, funeral, and notification requirements also differ by jurisdiction and institution. Returned material must identify its source, scope, review date, reviewer, and limits.

For mental-health care, contact a licensed professional. For estate, probate, tax, benefit, or account decisions, contact the responsible institution and a qualified attorney or adviser. See the full disclaimer.

A future information product may include the Guided Grief Journal + Memorial Pack with optional GriefLantern Companion. It is not currently purchasable. If released, journal plus membership will remain default-selected, journal-only will remain available, and the recurring price, cadence, renewal timing, and cancellation terms will be shown beside the purchase action.
